I couldn't find a thread about this, apologies if it's been asked already. Is it possible to do a 6k run (or if not at least get close) by using heroes and micro-managing them for trapping? If so, what are the builds you guys have used?

Hey!

Well, it's possible to do it with heroes, but the trapping with heroes isn't best idea. Lets see, if you're a monk, you could be Restore Condition, Word of Healing or Zealous Benediction Monk, and you have 3 Hero Elementalists with Searing Flames..Many variants possible (Savannah Heat, Mind Blast...). You need to monk good at Mixed groups (all professions) and at Rangers, because they trap, so the best is if you flag your heroes by standing not next to each other, but they have to be in your range.. For equipments or builds, you could PM me, and i'll help you with it, otherwise you could make ur own builds..GL with it and have fun

Place Spirits to block gate, but allow space for one person to pass, and trap in that spot.
Copied Frozen Soil is for the Obsidian spike team. They always target spirits before anything else, so as long as there are nature rituals in play, they won't harm your team. Aegis will need to be replaced with something. Flag heroes as far back as you can.

I forgo 6k run in favor of 2k runs that can be afked (3x SF eles, 2 /Rt with spirit light one /R with frozen soil)

Me - Trapper Ranger (no FS) & 3 Necro Sabway Heroes, 6k max easily.

Minions are great against those pesky Eles

I always just use myself as trapper with FS, with two SF eles (I think /Me for PDrain), and a WoH monk. It's completely easymode and I've easily gotten like 15 or 20 wins before I got bored and left.

You basically place yourself and heroes so that you bodyblock incoming melee, and then set traps and put FS where it's not in direct fire, and let the heroes do most of the work. The only time the strategy changes is against Obby ele's, where when you see them you have to put FS back as far into the place as possible, since they autoaggro it, which makes them trigger the traps and die.

It is easy enough that you can use 2 humans and get 12k factions per day total.

Just make sure to cast FS way back when dealing with the ele team. They will always rush to kill the FS and trigger your traps at the door. For example:

I play a frozen soil trapper and use sabway heroes. 9 times out of 10 it's flawless victories the whole way through.

I must be doing something wrong here. I cast FS at the very back, go to the front and trap the gate. Then we wait at the gate. Then the elementalists run up and....stop before the traps, and nuke my team. They ignore the spirit. Once in a while one will run up and trigger the traps and die while the others stay back and nuke us. What's the solution here?

A second spirit might help.

The build I used, before I got bored with Zaishen Elite farming, included Brambles. Typical procedure was to spam FZ until loading was done, flag henchmen in front or behind it, trap up the area at the door, and shove bramble there for bodyblocking. Generally followed by more traps outside after the door opens. Only change was for Heroes' Crypt, where I placed brambles at the chokepoint outside.

But in the end, trapping gets boring real quick.
